The 114 th. Maryland State convention is quickly approaching, May 4ththru May 6th. I hope that all Grand Knights and delegates are already registered. Grand Knights must go into training now, to prepare for the Grand Knight Olympics at the beach. Grand Knights and the DW must be in excellent shape in order to outscore the other districts and win $500 for their favorite charity. May is also when the new slate of officers for the coming fraternal year must be announced before the June elections. Make sure all who are nominated have indicated their willingness to serve. And finally we cannot overlook our continued commitment to membership and quality programs. We still have 60 days to go, plenty of time to continue our recruitment activities. Whether it is at a recruitment drive at our churches or recruiting at one of our council’s activities we must continue to seek out new members smartly and with a passion. Remember also that our programs are the resume we should use to recruit new members. The better our programs the better job we do to publicize them the more they will encourage potential candidates to inquire about them.
